Privacy Policy

4lovingyou (“we”) respects your privacy and complies with the
Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and other applicable laws.
1. Purpose of Processing
- Verifying sign-up, identifying and authenticating users, maintaining accounts
- Storing and syncing your events and memos across devices
- Inviting members to shared calendars and sharing events among them
- Sending push notifications, including event reminders
- Verifying in-app subscription status and providing the corresponding features
- Preventing abuse, responding to inquiries, and diagnosing errors
2. Information We Collect
a. At sign-up (required)
- Email address
- Name (nickname)
- Password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash; email sign-up only)
- Social login identifier (when signing in with Apple or Google)
- Profile image URL (if provided by the social login provider)
b. Generated while using the service
- Event data (title, notes, date/time, repeat rules, reminders, location)
- Calendar data (name, color, share members)
- Memo data (group, title, content)
- Saved addresses
- Subscription (in-app purchase) status and expiry date
- Device token for push notifications
c. Device permissions (only if you grant them)
- Location — to autofill the current location as an event place and to show weather. Used on-device only; never stored on our servers.
- Calendar access — to display events from your device calendar. Never sent off-device.
- Microphone / Speech recognition — to add events by voice. Only the recognized text is used; audio is not stored.
- Notifications — to deliver event reminders.
- Advertising identifier (IDFA) — for ad delivery and measurement, collected only if you allow app tracking.
We do not collect national ID numbers, home addresses, phone numbers, gender, or date of birth.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple; we never receive or store payment card details.
3. Retention Period
- Account information: until you delete your account. On deletion, your events, memos, and calendars are deleted along with it.
- Events in shared calendars: until the calendar is deleted by its owner.
- Device tokens: deleted immediately on sign-out or account deletion.
- Legal retention: where a statute requires it, data is retained for the period the statute prescribes.
4. Third Parties and International Transfers
We do not sell or share your personal information. We entrust limited processing to the following providers, some of which are located outside Korea.

Transfers occur over the network at the time you use the service. You may refuse the transfer, but the related features (social login, push notifications, weather) will be unavailable.

6. How to Delete Your Account and Data
In the app
Open the app → Settings → Account → Delete Account
By email
Email 4lovingyou@gmail.com from your registered address.
We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 7 business days.
Deleting your account permanently and immediately erases your account information and all events, memos, calendars, and saved addresses you created. This cannot be undone. Information we are legally required to retain is stored separately and destroyed at the end of the required period.
7. Destruction of Personal Information
We destroy personal information without delay once the purpose of processing is fulfilled. Electronic files are erased using methods that make recovery impossible; paper documents are shredded or incinerated. Data whose retention period has expired is destroyed within 5 days of that date.
8. Security Measures
- Passwords are stored as one-way bcrypt hashes; we cannot read them.
- Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted, and authentication uses expiring tokens.
- Access to systems handling personal information is limited to the minimum necessary personnel, and access is logged.
- Intrusion prevention measures block unauthorized external access.
- We maintain and follow an internal management plan for safe processing.
9. Cookies and Advertising Identifiers
The app does not use browser cookies. Google AdMob may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) for ad delivery and measurement, and only if you consent to the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. A premium subscription removes ads.
10. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If we learn that we have, we delete it immediately.

This policy takes effect on the date shown above. If we add, remove, or amend any provision, we will announce the change at least 7 days before it takes effect through the app or this page — at least 30 days in advance where the change materially affects your rights.
